Humana People to People India, in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and supported by Hero Motocorp is implementing the ‘Disha’ project in seven districts of Haryana, namely Rohtak, Bhiwani, Chakri Dadri, Rewari, Mahendergarh, Jhajjar and Sonipat. The primary object of the project is to strengthen the livelihood opportunities by developing entrepreneurship skills in the women so that they can play an integral role in the economic enhancement of their family and society.

The project has been conceived and designed to provide entrepreneurship awareness and start-up training along with mentoring the women to overcome their barriers and expand their scope of choices. With an aim to inspire more women to start their own enterprise, on December 5, 2018, an Entrepreneurship Information Fair was organised in BhiwaniHaryana in which more than 320 successful women entrepreneurs participated.

More than 20 women entrepreneurs showcased their products and shared their experiences of how they are benefiting under the Disha programme. The chief guest of the event was Mr. Satish Kumar (HCS), Sub Divisional Magistrate, Bhiwani. Also present during the event were Mr. Rajesh Mukija, Sr. Adviser, CSR, Hero Motocorp and other representatives from the state government, UNDP and HPPI.

Humana People to People India is a development organization registered as a not-for-profit company under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 as of 21st May 1998. It is a non-political, non-religious organization. Its mission is to unite with people in India in order to create development in the broadest sense through the implementation of the projects that aim at transferring knowledge, skills and capacity to individuals and communities who need assistance to come out of poverty and other dehumanizing conditions.
