On the occasion of India's Independence Day, the Ranga Reddy Health Department (Office of Deputy DM & HO) honoured HPPI's Community Development Project in the district by awarding a certificate of appreciation for the valuable work and outstanding support provided by the team to the District Health Department towards strengthening community-based healthcare services and COVID-19 vaccination registration and awareness.
The project, titled Raising Healthy and Educated Communities, is being implemented in Ranga Reddy, Telangana since the year 2016. The project aims to bolster the implementation of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme in the intervention district and ensure that any existing gaps in these services are promptly addressed.
Simultaneously, the project aims to provide digital and child-friendly anganwadis and basic and preventive healthcare services to the population in the project intervention areas. Till March this year, the project had successfully upgraded 152 anganwadis in 5 mandals and 95 villages of the district. The administration has expressed its keen interest in replicating this model of development in other mandals of the districts as well.
